What Is My Hat Size?

We have a few simple instructions to make sure you measure your head properly and purchase the perfect sized hat for YOU. You will need a cloth tape measure. It also helps if you have assistance from another person to ensure accuracy. We recommend using a metric ruler and measuring your head in CM.  

How Would You Like To Wear Your Hat?

There are two options listed below, Option 1 and Option 2 are both different, it is essential to measure your hat to fit like your preferred option as there are significant differences.  

Option 1 – Halo

This is the “halo” style of wearing a hat. Choose this option if this is the way you will choose to wear your hat.Man-hat

1. Simply get your cloth measuring tape and place it around your head over your occipital bone (the furthest part on the back of your head).

2. Bring the measure around to the front of your head. About 5 mm above your ears and position it at the top of your forehead (beginning of hairline).

Option 2 – Traditional

This is the “traditional” style of wearing a hat. Choose this option if this is the way you will choose to wear your hat.

1. Simply get your cloth measuring tape and place it around your head over your occipital bone (the furthest part on the back of your head).

2. Bring the measure around to the front of your head. About 5 mm above your ears and position it in the centre of your forehead, or just above the eyebrows (depending on where you want your hat to sit).

Check what size your measuring tape says. Make sure when measuring the tape is not too loose or too tight. If in between sizes, we recommend going up in size. E.g if you measure 58 cm and there is no 58 cm in the style you are after, we recommend going up to size 59 cm. We also recommend adding a hat filler to your order if you are in between sizes as these can tailor the hat to fit your head perfectly.  

Lack of Color Sizing:

(KIDS) 53 CM. This is our Children's size. We do not recommend children's hats for adults as they are scaled down in design and are designed for your mini. 

(S) 55 CM. This is our smallest size and is only available in some styles. If your head measures 53 cm – 54 cm, we recommend adding a hat filler to your order, as these reduce the size of your hat by 1-2.5 cm.

(M) 57 CM. This is our medium size and is for an average sized head. This is the size we recommend as a ‘standard’ or ‘average’ fit.

(L) 59 CM. Is for a large head. This is our standard size L and is the largest size we offer in most styles.

(XL) 61 CM. Is only available in selected styles, this is the largest size we currently offer. All Lack of Color hats are uni-sex and can be worn by both men and women (but you didn’t need us to tell you that).  

Quick Tips

There is no such thing as an overall correct fit. You must ensure your hat fits the way YOU want it to. It is entirely a matter of personal preference and whatever feels right to you. A tighter fitting hat stays on better for people who are active – think a festival or day at the beach, your hat will also sit higher on your head. A looser fitting hat is more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time (4+ hours) and will sit lower on your head.  

Please note, our Rancher styles run slightly large due to the crown design and width of the crown. The Rancher styles run 1 cm larger than the tagged size. This includes the Zulu RancherIvory RancherTeak Rancher, Noir RancherCoco Rancher & Ivory Rancher Special

Check the sizing tag on a hat that you already own that fits well. Then using the Hat Size Chart below, convert the size on the tag to a measurement on the table. This will help to determine the size of your new Lack of Color Hat.

  • All packages are delivered to your door, no signature required

I PLACED A SUCCESSFUL ORDER BUT WHY DIDN'T I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL?

If you placed a successful order you should receive a confirmation email with an order number. If you have not received an email after one hour please contact us to make sure your order went through.

 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?

Please allow two to four business days for order processing and shipment, and an additional two to five business days for delivery. Express two-day shipping orders will be processed in one business day and delivered within two to three business days. Orders placed over the weekend will not be processed until the following business day.

 

DO YOU RE-STOCK YOUR INVENTORY?

We restock a small number of styles, the majority of our items are offered in limited quantities, for a limited time, so we can continually delight you with fresh styles and new looks.

 

HOW DO I GET A REFUND OR MAKE AN EXCHANGE?

We only offer store credit for returns. Items purchased from JaydenP.com are eligible for store credit within 14 days of purchase. Returns must be postmarked within 14 days of receipt of your order, all sales after 14 days are final.

ALL SALE, INTIMATES, SOCKS, JEWELRY ARE FINAL SALE

We will process your return as quickly as possible, however, please allow up to five to seven business days for a refund. A notification email will be sent after the return is processed. Please note that shipping costs are not refunded or included in refund off original order.

All tags must be intact and the item unworn or unused. If there are any signs of use we will not be able to accept the return, and the item will be returned to you at your expense.

 

HOW DO I PROCESS A RETURN?

Please contact us with your order number and reason for return. A Return Authorization (RA) number will be issued via email within 24 hours. Items returned without a RA number will not be accepted.

Please locate your order number on either your order confirmation email or the packing slip included in your shipment.

You have 14 days from the receipt of your order to request a Return Authorization.

IF I PURCHASED AN ITEM ONLINE, CAN I RETURN IT TO THE STORE?

Yes, you can return any items purchased online to our store, as long as it meets our return policy included above.

 

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY STORE CREDIT?

You will receive an e-gift card via email within three business days of the delivery of your return to our store, once it has been processed. Shipping fees will not be refunded and will be deducted from the total.   

 

DO WE INCLUDE RETURN LABELS?

We do not provide return labels at this time.

Eligible items that are unworn/unwashed, with all tags attached, & footwear in the original box with all packaging, may be returned back to us for exchange or store credit within 14 days of the day they were delivered to you.

If you selected local pickup, you will have 14 days from the date of purchase to exchange your items, or return for store credit.

You can mail back items, or you can bring them to 2946 State St Carlsbad, CA 92008 (AFTER you have emailed us and received a Return Authorization email – see “How To Return An Item” below)

Curbside Options: Please give us a call at 760-720-2946 if you’d like to exchange an item, or drop off an item for store credit, and we will be happy to coordinate that for you, as a curb side interaction.We do not offer refunds (unless item received is damaged). See drop down item below for information on damaged items.

HOLIDAY RETURN POLICY: Christmas Gifts purchased after Nov 25th, are eligible for exchange or store credit until January 6th with the tags attached and gift receipt. Must be added in the notes at checkout that it is a gift.
